Caleb ("servant of the Lord") was one of the 12 spies that Moses sent into Canaan to check out the land. He was from the tribe of Judah. Caleb believed God and thus
Caleb is called "my servant" by God in Numbers 14:24. It is interesting to note that this title had only previously been used in reference to Moses.
